Castle Rock’s Town will host Bike to Work Day on Wednesday, June 24 with a free breakfast for commuters from 7 to 9 a.m. at Festival Park — 300 Second St.; those who bike, walk, carpool, or rollerblade to work will be entered into a drawing for local prizes.

Polis declared a statewide drought emergency on Thursday in Colorado—activating Phase 3 of the drought response plan after record low snowpack and extreme warmth led to worsening water restrictions.
