  • The Texas-based Whataburger has submitted plans to build a 24-hour restaurant near the Outlets at Castle Rock, marking its return to the Denver metro area after a 40-year absence; construction will begin if the land use application, submitted in November 2025, is approved.  Denver7

  • Firefighters used early detection from AI cameras to contain the Bear Creek Fire that burned 11 acres southwest of Roxborough State Park. No evacuations were needed and some park trails reopened Monday at 9:30 a.m. (the fire was 75% contained by then).  Denver7
