- ➤ Castle Rock is set to enjoy a Summer Concert Series at the Amphitheater at Philip S. Miller Park featuring five nights of live music, beginning with Sugar Ray on June 21. - ➤ The Colorado Senate Judiciary Committee passed an amended Senate Bill 25-281 on April 21 that increases penalties for careless driving resulting in death but retains a misdemeanor charge unless prior serious offenses apply—families of crash victims and advocates expressed disappointment with the amendment. - ➤ Castle Rock Town Council approved a new Youth Commission on Jan. 7 to give local teens a voice in government—Becca Schnorr is coordinating the group, and applications from 9th through 12th graders are accepted until July 31 with the first meeting set for Sept. 8. Douglas County News-Press
