- ➤ Colorado lawmakers passed House Bill 25-1004 that bans landlords from using artificial intelligence algorithms to set rent prices—aiming to stop collusion—and Governor Jared Polis will review the bill before it may become law. Denver7
- ➤ Castle Rock residents are upset after the Douglas County School District declared the 20.9-acre middle school site surplus in the Crystal Valley Ranch neighborhood, canceling plans for a school. The town council tabled the reconveyance ordinance to allow more public input, and a developer now plans 112 single-family homes on the parcel—raising concerns over community expectations. - ➤ The Town will begin work to widen Crowfoot Valley Road from Knobcone Drive to Macanta Boulevard on May 12 and will finish by the end of summer 2026. The project will add lanes, new turn pockets, raised medians, and a traffic signal at Sapphire Pointe Boulevard (ready by late summer), and drivers should plan for lane closures and detours.
