About 500,000 public school students from low-income families in Colorado will receive $120 in food assistance this summer, with 450,000 families having received the benefit on May 1 and another 50,000 set to get assistance later.

State officials have secured funding until December—making plans for extra funds so the program can continue.

Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser + five other attorneys general sent a demand letter to WeChat on May 12 asking the company to stop hosting fentanyl trafficking and money laundering chats in the United States; WeChat must formally respond by June 11 to address the concerns.
