- ➤ Castle Rock will host the South Metro Water Festival on June 18 at Philip S. Miller Park from 2 to 6 p.m., offering interactive water demos, science experiments, a foam party and food vendors. Following the festival, Castle Rock Water will hold an after-party from 6 to 8 p.m. with live music from Grey Rails — a chance for families to enjoy water education and community fun. - ➤ Authorities tranquilized a busy black bear that was spotted in backyards in Arapahoe County and Lone Tree on Saturday — it was first seen on S. Genoa Court before appearing on E. Elmhurst Place in Aurora, and officers released it into better bear habitat. Wildlife officials urged residents to secure trash, pet food, and bird feeders to help reduce future bear visits. Denver7
