Good morning, Castle Rock.

United Power promoted Jonathan Aust to Senior Vice President and Chief Energy Resource Officer on July 2; he will replace retiring Dean Hubbuck in August—bringing over 20 years of energy experience from roles at Western Area Power Administration and with SCADA/EMS.

Castle Rock will celebrate its Western heritage beginning Friday, July 25 with a Texas Longhorn cattle drive as cowhands and Indigenous dancers guide cattle from Rock Park down Perry Street to a corral near Festival Park, and road closures start at 5 a.m. on that day & continue with a concert at the Douglas County Fair & Rodeo and a parade on Saturday, July 26. This weekend event brings together family activities and live performances to honor a longstanding local tradition.
