- ➤ A trio of organizations will hold a fundraiser on Aug. 28 at Evergreen Lake House to raise $200,000 for Buchanan Park’s planned adventure playground — skatepark and pavilion, with tickets costing $100. - ➤ After weeks of investigation, the Castle Rock Police Department and partner agencies arrested a 23-year-old suspect in Denver for a shooting on July 19 at 3:30 a.m. near Castle Rock Parkway and Castlegate Drive North where one person was shot and two others were injured, and investigators will recommend charges—attempted murder, assault, and menacing as the investigation remains active. - ➤ A 23-year-old man was arrested Thursday in Denver in connection with a July shooting at a Castle Rock apartment complex—officers said a fight in the parking lot led to shots fired that injured three people with non-life-threatening wounds. Denver7
