In Byers — the local school district has long offered low-cost housing for teachers to help them build roots and eventually purchase their own homes.

Town Council open houses start on August 26 at Cantril School where Councilmember Mark Davis will meet with residents from 4 to 6 p.m.—additional sessions on Sept 8, Sept 10, Sept 23 and Oct 2 will offer similar opportunities to discuss local projects and services with town staff.
