- ➤ Students from local high schools skipped class yesterday to protest last week's Evergreen High School shooting and marched from the Colorado State Capitol west steps to demand changes for gun violence reform — the protest, organized by Students Demand Action, drew over 100 students. Denver7
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ At the Sept. 16 meeting, town council introduced the Proposed 2026 Budget that sets aside $349.6 million for core services and improvements and approved the Lost Canyon Ranch Open Space master plan—including a contract for trail construction slated to begin in 2025—and passed a resolution for a $7.5 million Gold Crown fieldhouse investment while discussing downtown building heights and proclaiming Constitution Week.
